A $10 bet has resulted in a record-breaking slot machine jackpot in Reno, Nevada. The big win went down at the Atlantis Casino, where a player won the biggest jackpot in the city’s history, a $14 million hit on IGT Megabucks. This was also the first Megabucks win to hit in Nevada in two years.
The lucky player, a Reno woman who understandably wanted to remain anonymous, had been a loyal guest of the resort for a long time, according to a news release from Atlantis. She played the Megabucks Mega Vault game for just 40 minutes before landing the slot machine jackpot.
IGT VP of Western Region & Mexico sales, Toni Martinez, said that she was happy for the casino and the player. “With a $10 million top progressive jackpot reset value, no slot jackpot in the U.S. rivals the size or thrill of IGT’s legendary Megabucks game,” she stated in a release.
