There were two huge slot jackpots won this past week! One was hit in California, and the other in Las Vegas, of course! And both big wins totaled over $1.5 million each!
We begin in Las Vegas, where the lucky player was spinning the reels on the Dancing Drums Explosion slot machine from Scientific Games. This game was part of the Thunder Strike Jackpot feature at Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, California, which is 30 miles east of Sacramento. The player bet just one cent! His win came to just under $1,538,740! Not a bad use of a penny!
Thunder Valley opened in June of 2003 and is run by the United Auburn Indian Community. It has a 270,000-square-foot casino floor with 3,500 slots! There are also 100 table games, bingo, and a poker room.
The second of the slot jackpots was hit on a $50 bet while playing the Dragon Link slot from Aristocrat at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas! The progressive win came to just over $1,588,190! Back in February of 2020 another player won $1.7 million at the Wynn while playing a Wheel of Fortune game.
Additionally, several slot jackpots have been won on the Dragon Link progressive slot, including a $1 Million win at the Mohegan Sun in June this year, and a $1,3 million jackpot at the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa, Florida in May!
