The Sphinx 4-D machine also has a chair that rumbles and vibrates.
When a player hits a bonus round on the penny slot machine, a small panel located below the colorful curved screen emits air emulating a sense of being touched by orbs or coins while the chair vibrates and built-in speakers make whooshing sounds.
For those looking to dial down the sensory intensity, there is a control that allows players to do so.
“The concept is that players will be able to feel what they are seeing on the screen,” said Anthony Zamora, slot director at Pechanga Resort & Casino. “Guests have reported the game is fun to play.”
