The Las Vegas Horseshoe has officially replaced Bally’s on the Strip! We visited and walked around the place to see what was different! We found a revamped poker room, an amazing new steak house, and a 7,000 square foot video arcade! Plus, we drop in on a unique, new eatery at the Grand Bizarre Shops! But beware of all the scaffolding and detours out front!
As you enter the updated Las Vegas Horseshoe, your attention is immediately drawn to the brand new carpet with all the horseshoes on it! On your right there’s the improved Hall of Fame Poker Room, a rarity in Vegas these days, as poker rooms are becoming increasingly scarce. Horseshoe Las Vegas has taken it a step further by expanding to 18 tables, offering numerous tournaments and cash tables featuring a variety of limit and no limit hold ’em and Omaha games.
Further back in the Las Vegas Horseshoe you come across Jack Binion’s Steak House, named after the renowned son of the original Horseshoe’s owner, Benny Binion. The prices range from a little over $80 to $150 for a Porterhouse. Downstairs, the Arcade boasts more than 7,000 feet of fun with over 80 games and a bar. Upstairs, the rooms have undergone a modern makeover, now clean, sleek, and reasonably priced with some rooms boasting fantastic views.
However, outside the Horseshoe it’s a different story. The new Las Vegas Horseshoe sign is still under construction, making it somewhat challenging to navigate out front. There’s a maze of scaffolding and detours, which should ) hopefully) be gone in a month or two. The shops themselves offer the usual choices of restaurants, souvenir shops, and ticket agencies. But a closer look may reveal a new favorite in Las Vegas: Duck Donuts!
We caught up with Cedric, their brand ambassador, Cedric, who explained what makes them different. At Duck Donuts, after a customer choses the donuts they want, the team behind the counter builds that donut to order as the customers watch! And they are all made fresh and taste amazing!
