The recovery was rolling right along. Then came the Coronavirus Delta variant and a Las Vegas setback. And while things are still moving forward, the pace has slowed just a little bit.
The new situation for Sin City and Nevada finds at least one restriction making a come back: Casino workers must wear face masks once again. What about social distancing? What about capacity limits? And what will this mean for those visiting Las Vegas?
As everyone watches the Las Vegas setback from this new COVID-19 variant, it seems we’ve all been holding our breath with the Delta variant stirs up trouble. Las Vegas is still open, and there are no restrictions in place. However, Vegas casino employees are now required to wear face masks even if they’re fully vaccinated.
Members of the Nevada Gaming Control Board will be enforcing this new mandate. Las Vegas casino employees working indoors and around the public are all required to mask up. But if you’re planning to visit Las Vegas, you are not required to wear a mask. Nor are there any social distancing or capacity limits currently in place. But we all know that could change at any time, so be sure to call ahead before you make your reservations.
