The CEO of MGM Resorts, Bill Hornbuckle, recently told company employees that there will be casino industry changes following the pandemic. “Our industry will likely change for the foreseeable future” because of the Coronavirus.
MGM properties have been closed since March out of concerns for public health, but are expected to reopen in some form of limited capacity when Nevada Governor Sisolak lifts the shutdown order.
In a recorded message earlier this week, Hornbuckle said “What it means to provide good customer service will change — everything from how often we clean to how we greet our guests could and will change,” Hornbuckle said without going into specifics.
Hornbuckle, who took over as MGM’s acting CEO when Jim Murren stepped down last month, said the way casino floors and restaurants operate will change. He didn’t say how.
