The new MSG Sphere in Las Vegas has finally lit up the night! It was an amazing and mesmerized free show that actually stopped traffic! We have video footage of the Sphere, plus information about another professional sports team that could be added to Sin City!
We’re featuring the incredible MSG Sphere in Vegas, which recently illuminated the sky for the first time in celebration of the 4th of July! The show was absolutely spectacular, and we have more captivating footage of the Sphere in action coming up over the next few weeks. I’ll personally be heading to Nevada to capture some amazing shots firsthand, but before we delve into that, let’s dive into the exciting news about the potential arrival of an NBA team in Las Vegas!
This week’s major highlight revolves around the possibility of Las Vegas not only hosting the NBA Summer League games but also becoming the proud home of its very own NBA franchise. You might be wondering, how exactly will they make this happen? After successfully convincing the Raiders and potentially the Athletics to relocate from Oakland to Las Vegas, the city is once again buzzing with anticipation as they aim to secure an expansion team from the National Basketball Association as early as 2024.
In fact, some locals are so confident about their chances that they’ve already begun planning for a state-of-the-art basketball arena. The Oakview Group of Los Angeles is spearheading the construction of an NBA-ready arena on the south end of the Strip, situated on a previously vacant plot near the Silverton Casino. Their objective is to complete this 20,000-seat stadium without relying on public funding before the NBA’s expansion vote next year. This 850,000 square foot facility will be just one component of an extensive $10 billion, 66-acre development that will include a resort with a casino and an amphitheater.
Lastly, as mentioned earlier, I have exciting news for our viewers. I’ll be in Las Vegas next week from Monday to Wednesday, starting July 17th, to shoot footage of the MSG Sphere and some upcoming projects. During the afternoon and early evening hours, you’ll likely find me in front of the Horseshoe. If you happen to be in the area, feel free to swing by and join in on the action. Just like every other lively individual strolling along the Strip, come on down and be a part of the fun!
