Ohio’s seven racinos collected a record $987 million in slot machine revenue after paying out winnings during the fiscal year that just ended in June, an increase of 6.1 percent over fiscal 2017.
Statewide racino revenue has grown steadily over the years, jumping from $733 million in 2015, to $869 Million in 2016, and to $923 million in 2017.
A third of the slot machine revenue from the racino goes to the Ohio Lottery Commission.
The biggest racino by far remains Northfield’s Hard Rock Rocksino, which is being purchased by MGM.
Revenue from slot machines for fiscal 2018 at the Rocksino was $246.5 million, up from $232.6 million a year earlier. All seven of the racinos posted revenue gains in the last year.
