Over the past few months we’ve given you updates on what’s happening in Las Vegas. In fact, in December we discussed the launch of the Horseshoe Las Vegas, and just last week we let you know about the sale of the Mirage Casino to Hard Rock International. But many people are very curious about when the Las Vegas Sphere will open!
Right now, not even the folks building the Sphere know for sure when it will be open to the public. However, officials involved in the project say that it should be some time in the “latter half” of this year. That would put the target launch date sometime in September to December.
What we do know for sure is that when the Las Vegas Sphere does finally open, the first act grace the stage will be will be the legendary U2! In the meantime, you can find more information on the Sphere project at the link near the bottom of this article.
There is also the Las Vegas Formula One race coming this fall, with official dates of November 16th through the 18th. Race cars will speed down The Strip at over 200 miles an hour, and the locations of the grandstands has just been made public!
Amazing seating opportunities will be located on East Harmon, where spectators can watch the start and finish lines, as well as the pit area. Also in front of the Bellagio where the fountains are located. Ticket for these grandstands start at just under $3,000 per person, but that does include your hotel room for three days, all you can eat food and beverage at the concessions, and admission to the event!
